Joe has been involved in the Survey industry for over 20 years. His career started as a survey chainman with WSDOT. He worked his way up to party chief, working on construction and design survey projects. In between surveying he did Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), construction inspection, and material testing. The latter part of his time was spent as the statewide Survey Support Manager in WSDOT's Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) section. There, he handled survey equipment and software training/support for all WSDOT survey crews.
He left WSDOT in September 2006 to become Carlson Software's, NW Region director of sales. There, he managed the Carlson dealer network and supported dealer and customer sales in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Northern California/Nevada. Unfortunately, due to the economic downturn, he was laid off from Carlson in September 2008.
In July 2009 he saw a need for a survey dealer in Bend OR. Davis Survey Supplies LLC was born. He is focused on the hardware and software side of the survey business. From Bend he serves the local area surveyors, contractors and engineers, as well as those customer's throughout Oregon and Washington.
All of this experience has served him well since he has been on both sides of the, proverbial, 'survey' fence! Let him put his experience to work for you!
